Overview
The Sky-Watcher Heritage 130P is a 130mm (5.1-inch) f/5 Dobsonian reflector that sits on a tabletop base, making it one of the most practical beginner telescopes available at this price point. Its 650mm focal length gives you enough reach to resolve the rings of Saturn, the cloud bands of Jupiter, and craters on the Moon with genuine clarity. The included 10mm and 25mm eyepieces provide 65x and 26x magnification right out of the box, covering a useful range for both wide-field views and closer inspection of planets. The collapsible open-tube design reduces the overall footprint significantly, which matters when you are carrying it to a dark site or storing it in an apartment.
It weighs under 9kg total, so portability is real rather than theoretical. The main limitation to understand is the mount. A tabletop Dobsonian requires a stable surface at a reasonable height, such as a picnic table or sturdy box, to use comfortably. Tracking is entirely manual, so you will nudge the scope by hand as objects drift through the field.
The StarPointer red-dot finder is adequate for getting started, though experienced observers often upgrade it eventually. For the price, the aperture-to-dollar ratio here is genuinely difficult to beat.

Great telescope, easy to assemble and easy to learn to use. Moon looks great, Jupiter and its moons are visible, Saturn and its rings are visible, Uranus and Neptune are seen as small dots of light. Star clusters also look great. Overall great product, although the focuser knob was very tight, but f...
Beautiful view of the the moon and other planets. Very clear and close when paired with other eyepieces.
