9.25 inches of aperture, built-in battery and WiFi, and GoTo tracking in one capable package

Overview
The Celestron NexStar Evolution 9.25 is a serious instrument for amateur astronomers ready to move beyond entry-level equipment. Its 235mm Schmidt-Cassegrain optical tube delivers a 2350mm focal length at f/10, making it well suited for planetary detail, globular clusters, and brighter deep-sky objects like galaxies and nebulae. StarBright XLT coatings improve light transmission noticeably compared to standard coatings, and the results show at the eyepiece.
What sets this model apart from other NexStar versions is the built-in rechargeable battery and integrated WiFi, which lets you control the telescope wirelessly through Celestron's SkyPortal app without any external power cables or hand controller. SkyAlign gets you aligned and tracking in just a few minutes using any three bright objects, which is genuinely useful in the field. The single fork arm altazimuth mount handles tracking well for visual use, though it limits astrophotography to shorter exposures.
At nearly 40kg total, portability is relative; this is a setup-and-observe-in-the-backyard telescope rather than a carry-to-a-dark-site one. The included accessory kit adds real value, but upgrading the eyepieces later will reveal what these optics are truly capable of.

This is a review for the 9.25" Quite impressed with this telescope. I upgraded from a 8" and there is a significant difference. The telescope arrive in several pieces (tripod, mount, OTA), putting it together is very easy and takes just a few minutes. The tripod is very sturdy and stable. Also it ca...
Do NOT buy this from Adorama. First, the good stuff: the optics on the telescope are fantastic. The bad: The sykportal app would not command the telescope via Android devices (tried 3). Always got an error that the telescope could not be commanded. The hand controller could successfully align the mo...
Easy setup and use, great optics, And Finally, with technology that makes Astronomy a citizen science that is enjoyable and exhilarating. And for those of us who have realized that we have passed the days where we can lug our heavy weight scopes up the vertical slopes this is a revelation of reasona...
