The Baader Hyperion 5mm is a short-focal-length eyepiece designed for observers who want high magnification without sacrificing field of view. At 5mm, it delivers substantial power on any telescope, making it well-suited for planetary detail, lunar craters, and splitting close double stars. The 68-degree apparent field of view is genuinely generous at this focal length, where many competing eyepieces narrow down considerably. One practical strength is the dual-barrel design.

The eyepiece fits both 1.25-inch and 2-inch focusers without adapters, which is convenient if you use multiple telescopes or plan to upgrade your setup later. Baader's PHANTOM-GROUP multi-coatings are applied to all optical surfaces, which helps maintain contrast and brightness even at high magnification.
