Overview

The MEEZAA 90mm refractor sits at a useful middle ground for beginners who want more than a toy telescope but are not ready to invest heavily. The 90mm aperture gathers enough light to show you lunar craters in satisfying detail, the rings of Saturn, Jupiter's cloud bands, and the Galilean moons. At f/8.88, the longer focal length helps produce sharper planetary views and keeps chromatic aberration reasonably controlled for a refractor at this price point.

The two included eyepieces (10mm and 25mm) paired with the 3x Barlow give you a magnification range of roughly 32x to 240x. In practice, the upper end of that range is limited by atmospheric seeing and optical quality, so expect consistently good views in the 60x to 120x range. The fully multi-coated optics do improve light transmission noticeably compared to budget single-coated alternatives.

The alt-az mount is simple and intuitive, which suits visual observing well, though it is not suitable for astrophotography beyond basic lunar shots with a phone adapter. At 5.44kg and with a portable carry bag included, this is a reasonable grab-and-go setup for backyard sessions or camping trips.

Set up was very straightforward and it was easy for me to assemble and start using even though I have never had one of my own before. The telescope itself is pe...
