Overview
The 70mm aperture and 500mm focal length (f/7.1) make this refractor a reasonable starting point for new astronomers. At this aperture, expect clear views of lunar craters, Saturn's rings, and Jupiter's cloud bands on a steady night. The included 25mm and 10mm eyepieces provide working magnifications of 20x and 50x respectively, and the 3x Barlow lens extends those to 60x and 150x, though views at the higher end will soften depending on atmospheric conditions.
Deep-sky objects like the Orion Nebula and Pleiades are visible, but faint galaxies will remain largely out of reach. The alt-azimuth mount is straightforward to operate, which suits beginners well, though it lacks the tracking capability needed for serious astrophotography. The 5x24 finderscope is modest but functional for locating brighter targets.
At just over 2kg, the whole setup is genuinely portable and pairs with a phone adapter if you want to try casual lunar or planetary snapshots. For under $65, this telescope offers a realistic entry into amateur astronomy without a significant financial commitment.

For a kid's telescope, the view and image range is fantastic. I frequently visit my local museum planetary andd webcan see clusters of stars and the view its quite decent compared with those big and moder telescope. I manage to see Saturn and the four visible moon the first time i use it. Im waiting...
Great telescope for the price. I bought it for my son and it’s pretty easy to set up and take down, has a nice storage bag. Pretty stable as long as it’s on a hard surface. He wanted it to look at the moon and it definitely does a good job at that, if you’re wanting to look at other planets and such...
The media could not be loaded. The Hexeum 70mm/500mm telescope is a solid choice for beginners interested in astronomy and nature. Assembly was fairly simple, though the instructions could be more detailed. I've used it a few times now for stargazing and observing the moon, and the lunar views are i...
