Overview
The Tele Vue Ethos 10mm is one of the most respected wide-field eyepieces available to amateur astronomers, and for good reason. Its 100-degree apparent field of view is not a marketing number but a genuinely transformative experience, especially when sweeping through star clusters, nebulae, or the Milky Way. Compared to the already-generous 82-degree Naglers, you get roughly 50% more visible area, which translates to a noticeably more immersive, almost spacewalk-like sensation at the eyepiece.
The 15mm of eye relief makes extended observing sessions comfortable, and eyeglass wearers will find it usable without removing their glasses. The dual 2-inch and 1.25-inch compatibility means this eyepiece will work with most telescopes you are likely to own or upgrade to. At $745, this is a serious investment, and it is worth being clear that the optical quality will only shine when paired with a telescope capable of supporting it.
On a fast reflector or refractor, some edge-of-field softness can appear, though the center performance is consistently excellent. With only 9 Amazon reviews, community feedback is limited, but the Ethos line has a long-standing reputation among experienced observers as a benchmark product.

This 10 mm eyepiece is the pride and joy of my eyepieces for my 8 inch SCT telescope. Great quality, crisp views, the expense is definitely worth it. Good job Televue and Agena Astro!
This is my fourth Ethos eye piece and not one flaw on any of them on arrival. The eye relief is a little tricky but the payoff of a clear high contrast 100 degree view more than makes that worth while. Expensive ? Yes, but relative to the views worth it … you need to own a few of these ! The anchor ...
I gave this eyepiece 3 stars. I REALLY REALLY wanted to be able to give it 5 stars and say that it was the best money I ever spent. But the truth is, I have mixed feelings about it. To start with the positives, this eyepiece lives up to the hype in the sense that it has a magnificent field of view. ...
